With the advent of technology and the advancing digital age, second language
acquisition has witnessed a profound transformation, as learners are provided with an
extensive range of tools and resources. The article describes the shift from traditional to
digital learning and discusses the benefits and challenges associated with incorporating
digital tools and technologies into a language learning environment. It aims to perform
extensive research on digitalization in the context of second language acquisition and
focuses on the impact of the digital age on learning a second language, exploring L2 usage
in digital forms and practices. The study deals with approaches to foreign language teaching
and how they are used synchronically with today’s technology, as well as how the use of
technology improves and fosters foreign language acquisition.
