We aim at analysing the concepts used in the thematic field of visual arts and drawing up a list of terms originating from proper names, an issue that has not been widely dealt with in relevant research. We shall only consider the deonomastic terms of our field of activity that have undergone a process of resemanticization (or semantic redetermination) referred to as antonomasia. We note the existence of two classes of terms: - deanthroponyms, when deriving from human names or if the etymon is a human name; - detoponyms when common nouns derive from toponyms or the etymon is a toponym. In both cases, the eponym is the original proper noun.
